I think that Goosen is right in that the HBO commentators do start to vibe along a similar groove a lot, to be agreeable. There is nothing unexpected in that. Larry Merchant will be the sports curmudgeon and be disagreeable and cranky and that tends to make my enjoyment of the fight a little less.
But then again the name, American fighter gets the benefit of the doubt on the officials cards and Goosen did not point that out. That is also a truth and it doesn't necessarily have to the name "American" but the boxer with the bigger name wherever his roots may be. Williams was expected to win, but he did not fight a particuarly good fight but I think that expectation gave him some of the rounds that should have gone the other way.
