He was supposed to be the mandatory challenger, but again the WBC changed everything and said that it wasn't an eliminatory, and that Rubio was not the mandatory challenger, he was just going to be ranked higher in the WBC ranking... pure BS ...

I predict he'll go crying to his man Suliaman who'll agree, yet again, to let Sergio out of the fight and let him fight another 135lb goat farmer.
Dumbest poster on nsb! Hands down!

Yeah that is ridiculous. I doubt that would've been the case if Lemieux won.

          Dear Chavez Sr.,

Please don't let your son fight Martinez whatever you do. I don't want to see you suffer and have to bury your son. There's nothing worse than a parent burying their child.

P.S, tell Margarito and Cotto not to fight him either. Stay as far away as you possibly can from this man.

Maravilla will run circles around Jr... Maybe and big maybe if Jr. developed a jab than he can have a slight chance of surviving more than 4 rds.. Vanes destroyed Jr in sparring he was just toying with him and imagine what Maravilla will do to him at 160...Vanes vs Maravilla at a catch weight. Cmon Martinez stop fightin Brits who are no namers...

Looks like another '0' has to go. Martinez is on a mission to beat undefeated fighters.

Barker is NEXT, then Chavez is NEXT.

                War Maravilla.

If Chavez jr. had his fathers ability then I might agree with you. Chavez jr. is nowhere near the fighter his father was. Can't wait to see Martinez dismantle Chavez Jr.

But now Lara won, so now Lara takes Williams place as the guy to fight Martinez.

Sure there's a pack of other fights for Lara at 154, but he's 28 with only 15 pro fights. If this is his prime, then i'm sure he wants the best he can fight. There's really no best at 154, actually he already fought the best. Williams was the best JMW before Saturday IMO, and Lara beat him. Now move on to Martinez the best at 160. I'm sure Lara doesn't want to become just another Cuban amateur legend, he has to feed off of this support he's getting from fans and all over the boxing world, and call out Martinez if he can't get the Williams rematch.
Martinez's last 2 fights he weighed 175/176 mid camp and 170/171 in the ring. That's 10lbs at least. On the other hand Ward and Froch both walk around low 170's and Froch is 170 in the ring....
