Morales talks too damn much. Everytime he talks about a different fighter it's to say something negative. I'm not a huge Canelo fan but I'm not a Canelo hater, either. What I do think is that Canelo is the best 20-21 year out there in the sport. Do you guys remember what Morales looked like at 20-21 years of age? He wasn't as good as when he was 23-26. I mean, at 21, he struggled mightily against the 39 year-old Zaragoza; and was huffing and puffing when he finally knocked him out. But Morales got better! The same way, look for Alvarez to get better (and I do see him getting better)... Also, what a back-stabber Morales is. The young guy, Alvarez, was there for his fight (against Maidana), supporting him and cheering him on, and he comes out with these statements! If indeed he really feels that way about Alvarez, then stay quiet. There's no need to kick another man down, especially a 20 year-old who looks up to you... No la chinges Terrible. Esas son mamadas!!!

Zaragoza even at 39 was better than anyone Canelo has fought. Zaragoza was the oldest fighter to hold a bantamweight belt. Of course Morales struggled a little bit. Zaragoza had seen it all and had his pro debut when Morales was 6 years old.
The reason I don't like Canelo isn't because of his skills, its the opposition he has faced and the title that was given to him. I can't respect a young strong boxer fighting bums. Its not like he just started his career he has 30 someting fights right. In the beginning your allowed some gimmes but once you have as many fights he does its not acceptable.
Look at Barrera, Marquez, and Morales they were all fighting much stiffer competition when they were Canelos age.

Morales is on point with his criticism, except he forgot to mention that Freckle's foot work is horrible he has no bounce to his movement, he cldnt KO a true 147lb in Hatton. Morales, Vazquez, Marquez and ARce all these guys are what true Mexican warriors are about, not like Canelo who keeps duckin Vanes...Man up and fight ur mandatory...

@ Richard T is on point. Vanes is Freckle boys mandatory! Trout? Lets not mention what Vanes did to him in the Olympic trials. Can u say Domination! JCC is an avg fighter who just has his poppas name to take him far and we all know what Vanes did to JCC during sparring, if you dont know You-Tube it...

I agree with Morales but I also think he sort of contradicted himself when he said we should give him time. If that's the case then evaluate the kid at age 20 not what he should or shouldn't be.

Personally, I think the kid is overhyped but that's not his fault. For being 20 years old, he's rock solid, shows good maturity and can get much, much better.

Will he be great? That's yet to be determined.
