Great, but the fact still remains that there are fighters and trainers, known throughout the boxing world, at least, that are in full support of better, more stringent testing. You're right that at this point, fans don't care unless it involves two names, but, at least the seed has been planted.

The seed was planted years ago with Holyfield-Tyson. Floyd may have planted another seed but it takes a lot more than a few seeds to grow a crop. And if the public isn't behind it there is no (figuratively speaking) water for that crop to grow. Capiche?

it's not nonsense. Manny 7 pound if you go by weigh in weights in 6 months and *****s call it impossible. Hopkins gained 15 pounds in 6 months and *****s dont seem to have a problem with it. What's more difficult. A 29 yr old physically in his prime athlete to gain 7 pound of muscles or the 41 yr old on the brink of retirement to magically gain 15 pound of muscles and speed and stamina in a short period of 6 months?

You're forgetting that Hopkins has stated publicly that he's open to extra testing. But then again, Pacquiao's said the same thing and lied.

See, you're doing EXACTLY what I've said most fans do. You're letting Hopkins off the hook and you're blaming Pac. It doesn't matter what ANY fighter says, it's what is actually done. If Hop is in favor of testing he should be implementing it into his fights. Why is it not being questioned that he hasn't?

When did Hopkins get knocked out stone cold by pigmys , his frame is also capable of bulking right up way higher gains that a guy 1/2 his size , and he is one of the greatest fighters off all time , Pac on the other hand comes across as a cheat and then drains them or slows them down what ever suits the only CH to CW inside his own division ,,,, Pac at WW is a CW hype job !!

The whole Mayweather/Pacquiao thing is something you can't apply to other fighters. You guys are just reaching now. That's right, an American became the oldest champion in the history of boxing. Live with it.

Which is clouded, he could have shown that it was a legit win by taking the test. He could have shown that it was all hard work, instead he almost sue, and its not like its his first time somebody think he could be on PEDS. Hopkins, Pac, Sergio, Mayweather are all suspect. Unless they take the olympic style testing they are all guilty users.

It seems quite hypocritical.

While I have met nothing but cool Americans myself, there does seem to be a definate trend in boxing in the U.S.A. whereby foreign fighters get the shaft and the American boy takes home the controversial decision and moves on.

Look at Kotelnik, Mattysse, and Lara today. A little further back, Holyfield-Lewis and Mayweather-Castilo.

I don't think the issue is one of race, but rather one of nationalism.
