yeah, that should be a good measuring stick for gesta...if he cant beat a guy like katsidis, he'll never be a champion....

Thanks. Wasn't my idea. Principe, he thought of it. I mean I like the idea behind it too. Michael Katsidis had been in a lot of title shots and always brought the fight to the fighter. And every writer says that Mercito Gesta has speed and power so what better boxer is there to test him but Michael Katsidis.

It doesn't disrespect both fighters instead it is a make or break fight for both of them. If Gesta wins then yes he is a contender worthy to get a title shot. If Katsidis wins then yes he is still an elite fighter who can give champions something to worry about.

Also, Michael Katsidis is no bum or journeyman. He is still a B fighter in all sense of boxing levels. If Gesta wins then he moves from C+ to B from prospect to a legitimate contender.
