HBO's 'in fight' interview of Williams' trainer

I took exception to Kellerman's in fight interview of Williams' trainer. I think it was the 8th or 9th round and, I'm paraphrasing, but Kellerman said something to the effect of "what are you telling Paul to do, to avoid the overhand left of Lara, it's been landing frequently."

Maybe I'm making more out of it than it is, but to me, this observation by Kellerman was informing Williams corner of something they may have not been paying close attention to. In other words, HBO is indirectly giving 'hints' to a boxer's cornerman during a fight. I thought it was unfair to Lara that HBO do this...

Anyone else think this is inappropriate or unfair? Or am I just being neurotic?

Not really because it wasnt like he gave him tactical advice just pointed out the obvious that Williams was getting tagged with the left all night.

Neurotic on your part -- to give an appropriate example that would be like Kellerman coming up to Zdunek during Vit/Lewis fight and asking the corner what are they gonna do about that bad cut.

I watch the show "Master Chef" and the part I hate the most is when the Chefs come to the competitors and tell them whats wrong or you can tell they dont like something so the people change it. I always think that is mad unfair.

I dont think thats the case here. I mean anyone with eyes could see that the overhand right was landing. Williams trainer just sucks anyways. You see when Max asked him that, he didnt even give a answer with any knowledge. He dont know how to stop it himself. Max couldve told him what to do and his dumbass still wouldnt know how to teach Williams to stop it

I was more peeved that Kellerman told Peterson that HBO had Williams losing on the scorecards.

Peterson may have not acted so desperate in the last rounds if Kellerman hadn't said anything about it.

                Dense?

No one needs to know the scores of anything until the last bell has rung.

They werent official scores anyway and anyone with eyes could see that Lara should have been up on pointe. I dont get why you guys think Kellerman telling Peterson that Williams was getting tagged with the left and is probably down on the cards is some sort of advantage for team Williams when anyone who watched the fight including my girlfriend who knows little to nothing about boxing could see that. Dense??

Max Kellerman to George Peterson: "Sergio Martinez knocked Paul out with an overhand left. Lara, we notice it, is continually catching Paul with the overhand left. How do you advise Paul to get away from that left hand?"

"We have him (Williams) down on the cards"...
