Young and undefeated fighter with pop.

Would this be a problem for boxing fans? For the people who say Pac needs to fight young and rising stars, how will they spin this into a negative if Rios does indeed keep on the upswing?

Match Pacquiao's speed and power ?

Arum he is a lightweight. But the cagey old bat will get the masses talking by trying to say he'll fight pac.

          This is disgraceful.

No one will be paying to watch Pacquiao anymore as soon as he decides to go back down in weight.

In fact, I predict that even Pacquiao vs Bradley would be a PPV bust. For a fight to sell, there has to be intrigue. There has to be something that makes people sit on the edge of their couches.

Nothing below WW with the exception of Pacquiao/Marquez holds any real intrigue. And even that fight won't sell well because the fans believe that Marquez may have lost a step in the 3 years that Pacquiao avoided this third match.

The only fight I want to see that involves Pacquiao fighting a smaller guy is Pacquiao/Donaire. I would pay $100.00 US to see a PPV where Nonito Donaire KO's Manny Pacquiao. Aside from that Pacquiao is about to fall from PPV grace.

I told you guys in an earlier post that Pacquiao had no place else to go. And so Arum is looking at Rios now.

          What a joke.

Is that Arum's only method for promoting his fighters? Saying in public that *insert Top Rank promoted fighter's name here* is gonna fight Pacquiao

So Arum makes the expected answer, which satisfies the carrion crows of journalism, and this seems to instigate your nasty little comment......... You don't consider that it is a natural question and answer. with as much expectation _almost- as if I'm going to buy the Lottery winning ticket tomorrow, that it is at least a couple of years away, that Manny P. will likely be retired before this happens, that Rios himself might be beaten and/or not in the running any more, etc. etc.etc ad infinitum........

And you have NO IDEA when Rios' contract is expected to expire. because, when the news that he'd signed with Top Rank was released, you didn't bother taking note of the date.

But, as long as it makes you happy..........

Well, only to be expected I suppose.
BOB! who told you how to use the internet?

i dont think this will ever be a good fight. weve seen pac against a punch of rios's. predictable win. id be more willing to see it if rios beats a marquez/bradley/khan level fighter tho.

LOL, of course this is Arum's plan.

The guy has no intention whatsoever of ever putting Pacquiao near Floyd and we know it, it's beyond blatant.

Rios is a wonderful little bruiser, though - I'd prefer to see him continue building a Legacy entirely apart from building to a shot at Manny.

Oh it's coming alright, don't worry. The Pacquihaters never disappoint. They will NEVER allow a positive word in the same conjunction with the word Manny Pacquiao. *sigh*

Arum meant in 1-2 years for Rios. Ortiz is already facing an elite fighter soon.
