Khan, Maidana, Bradley, Alexander, even Judah and Matthysse. I don't see him beating any of those guys either. I can't see him beating Broner either. Rios reminds me a lot of Margarito and David Diaz. They all fight flat footed, come straight forward, relentless, lack of defense, with good chins. I think Rios can put his punches together a little better though. But being relentless with a good chin can only get you so far.

With all that said, I can't wait for his next fight. I like him for what he is, but I don't expect him to fight world class fighters anytime soon. Rios vs Barrera? Really Arum? I don't think we'll ever see Rios fight who we want him to fight cause of Arum.
Rios said during the fight that he was pulling his ear then in the post fight interview he said he was scratching his eye. I think Rios made that **** up cuz he broke his collar bone when they fell.

At 135 he was a beast, even jmm left the div because rios was the only option left. He lost a lot of pop at 147.

A lot of you obviously don't remember how much hype he was getting on here 3 years ago.

He's a tough, entertaining fighter who's very limited. I never had high hopes for him but I like his fights. The only really boring fight he's been in was with Abril but that's mainly because he drained himself to near death.

Just read some of those comments after His fight with Antillon. There numerous threads at the time about how he's the future and will easily clean out 135-140. I just didn't get it, which is why I made this thread 3 years ago. I remember Bread from a different site was calling him a beast and extremely hard to beat. Saying he was special. I called him out on it recently and he said he never said that of Rios. How easily people forget.

With that said, I still like him for what he is! Very fun to watch in my opinion. He's definitely not elite though!!
