I just don't agree with you. If you are born and raised in Canada then you're a Canadian. You are born in Mexico but you move to the USA when you're 5 then maybe it's up for discussion. That's it. To say that growing up in the USA doesn't make a difference, so they're still mexican is just unreal.

Well I personally have experienced this first hand. Born in U.S., both parents from Mexico (Tamaulipas and Chihuahua). Went back and forth between AZ and Mexico for many years. Raised and schooled in both places, have family and land in both countries, speak fluent english and spanish. However, I'm an American by most peoples standards.
How does that saying go? Mexican everywhere but Mexico, and American everywhere but America.
Point is, it is pointless to argue about this. Nobody is ever right in the others eyes.Comment

you're wrong. he told antillion to speak "english" antillion obviously isn't fluid with english. & since rios doesn't know a lick of spanish he wanted antillion to speak in a way that he could understand HAHAHAHA
also. rios told antillion to go back to meheco (as in mexico)
AGAIN> MEXICANS ARE WEIRD FOR FIGHTING TO CLAIM RIOS....it's almost pathetic.
skip to 24:28 to hear rios's "go back to meheco"

Funny how when a person who isn't Mexican sees someone who looks like Rios or Antillon, they refer to them as "Mexican" whether they're from Mexico or not.Funny how REAL MEXICANS IN MEXICO that are boxing fans can give less than a fawk about Mexican-American fighters.
You know why? Because they're NOT Mexican.
Mexican-American boxers putting an emphasis on their Mexican heritage is promotional politics. Which was started by scumbags like Bob Arum & Don KingComment

There is no such thing as "Mexican food" within the borders of the united states because it wasn't actually made in Mexico.
Thats basically what the moron is saying.
Tacos, burritos, tortillas, chorizo, and menudo dishes that are made in this country,
are american foods that belong to american culture.Comment

LMAO.
I LOVE THIS THREAD!
All I have to say is this:
IF IT WASN'T FOR MEXICANS/MEXICAN-AMERICANS, BOXING WOULD SUCK HORSE BALLS!
These mothaphuckers along with 1 African-American [Floyd "Dinero" Mayweather
] are keeping boxing alive and entertaining....
I salute you, guys. Thank you. Mabuhay!Comment
