I agree. Gomez is even an easier fight than Mayorga. At least Mayorga has some power and will put up a fight. Alvarez will steamroll Gomez. I have no interest in that fight at all

Gomez needs to see that he's just being used. Alvarez has made a career winning fights at the matchmaking table. Canelo has yet to fight anybody that didn't have a serious number disadvantage from the start. From size, to age, to activity, or punch output. Gomez falls into all these catagories and is just not acceptable, but Canelo wants him bad, or we wouldn't hear about it.

Canelo should be fighting Vanes. He proved he was elite for fighting Rhodes, he has to be consistent. If he had tough fight after tough fight then I can understand someone like Mayorga, but that isn't the case. He's fighting Cotto's leftovers.
