After all the crap Williams and his team put him through for a rematch, I'd just ignore them if I was Sergio. It is though one the bigger money fights Martinez can make right now with his dearth of middleweight challengers. If it happens, he KO's Williams brutally.

but it amazes me that no one brings up ring rust and instead say PWill is done...the guy didnt take a gimme fight when he returned as most of these so-called fighters do. He deserves credit but also criticism because of how he fought..peterson is partly right in saying that he's not going to change up PWills style because of his 39 wins out of 41 fights BUT c'mon at least teach him something in order to dodge that left.........feel bad for Lara, he should get another good fight if not the rematch BUT also felt bad for Moilina cause i thought he deserved the W after beating Lara.....

the right thing to do is give lara the rematch...if he fights martinez immediatley i don't think sergio will get much credit for beating a guy who really "lost"..paul should fight lara again and if he wins then against martinez

yeah,i guess lara know what if feels like to get robbed,i also thought molina beat him....i also don't think paul needs to change anything,it's just that some fighters will be better than him,simple as that..

Paul Williams trainer George Peterson is crazy with that statement he made about not having to change Williams style up. Dude got brutally KO'd in his last fight and now he got beat up by a fighter that hasn't even fought at the level Paul has. On top of that. Williams has the nerve to call for a Martinez rematch after his performance against Lara? The title should read:



Sergio Martinez ruined and laid the blue print to beating Paul Williams.

geez, peterson had me baffled... knowing that p-will trusts him COMPLETELY, peterson knowingly puts him in the line of fire.... peterson really needs to not take the saying "you cant prepare for a punch you cant see" LITERALLY.... a capable trainer would have understood that even though you cant prepare for an unseen punch, you cant blatantly act like it wont happen again & not anticipate it to repeat. it is a MAJOR flaw, and it WILL be revisited time & time again.

its quite arrogant to PUBLICLY state that they wont fix that MAJOR flaw... flood gates are open... even donaire might be able to drop p-will with that FLAW in mind. it doesnt take much to drop someone with a well placed shot.

LOL at p-will's delusional notion that he got caught with "pot-shots".... lara was dialing those bombs in... lucky for p-will, lara didnt have elite-level punching power.

I'm sorry but Williams can't fight Martinez. Not right now at least.

He needs to fix that GPS system in his face that directs his chin into the smaller man's fist.

Lara could win a rematch. He would be more active and it would win him the fight without room for judges to go "what did he do in this round again?"

George Peterson is an idiot. "We can't practice defense for a punch a fighter can't see." Well, if that's the case, Williams is really F***ed. Lara hit Williams with that Martinez-esque left straight ALL THE **** NIGHT LONG. You telling me Williams didn't see that punch coming all night long?

The point is, it's George Peterson's fault why Williams hadn't improved his defense in order to anticipate for the left hand.
