Bute has also done much better than Ward against their common opponents.

I'm not saying the guy doesn't have power. I think Bute is very talented. But his opposition is garbage. Bika is a C level fighter, the only reason he gets mentioned is because of his power, he's a very wild swinger with sub-par skills. Miranda, I don't even need to go into that one. Give me a break. He fought very hard and close fights with Calzaghe and Ward, the Ward fight was much closer than the scores said while Bute managed to comfortably outboxed Bika.

Impeccable timing by Bute. You could see him calculate Mendy's timing(gloves up, gloves down, gloves up, gloves down, THROW) in his head before he threw the 2 punch combination that knocked Mendy stiff.

Still looks like a guy that would be hiding rocks in his gloves but he knows how to make C+ fighters look plain jane.

Bute is in great form and should beat Kelly Pavlik fairly easy.

Lucian is going to pound that corroded liver, land to the jaw, and move so he's tough to hit. Pavlik's head is going to be a nice stepping stone to the winner of the Super Six.

I am a huge Lucian Bute fan but to even be considered great on boxing's radar you need to fight in the United States. Knocking out a black French dude in Romania doesn't make you anything. He needs to fight some Brits in the UK or some Americans in America if he wants to really get noticed.
