Yes, it sucks, yes something should be done, yes it's bad for the sport, but can you really say with a straight face that Paul Wiliams vs Erislandy Lara on HBO boxing after dark is going to change the foundations of boxing??

And no I don't run around wondering why people talk **** about boxing and that boxing is bull****. I know why and it's not just because of bad decisions. In fact the main problem in boxing is getting super fights put together and then living up to the hype when they finally are put together: ex: Haye vs Klitschko.. That was worse for boxing than a robbery on HBO.. And yes alot of it has to do with the excess weight divisions and meaningless titles. It's too much for the average sports fan to keep up with. Not to mention that the heavyweight division is lackluster. It's all these things. Not just robberies.

Again, I assure you that the foundations of boxing will not be effected by this fight. Sadly, this will all be forgotten soon and everyone will be back to being a "fan" when Khan and Zab square off.
apparently you have no ****ing clue what destroys a sport, or what classifies as shaking a sports foundations

when you have **** like this happen, it detracts fans (the casual ones, the ones that matter when it comes to money) away and they will no longer invest their time or money, when **** looks shady like it did tonight

yeah this was boxing after dark, it was also paul ****ing williams, who is a high profile boxer, and that's why I think this is a big deal

I just listed the things that destroy the sport. Are you dumb? Can't read? Not fluent in English? Yes robberies hurt the sport, but it's not the worst thing happening in boxing.

Paul Williams is not high profile. He stopped being high profile after getting his clocked cleaned last year.

But whatever you say. Joesaiditstrue so it must be.

I take back what I said. This fight WILL shake the foundations of boxing. It will shake the heavens and the earth. It will cause mass riot worldwide and will start an epic war where 3/4 of the earths population will be destroyed. Then Satan will rise from the depths of hell and he'll say.......

      "knowwhaimsayin"..

it seemed like the scorecards were filled out before the fight began, it's ridiculous. judges that score fights like these should be fined or suspended, fired or something! smh...

i've been watching boxing since 1991 and i've never seen something so obviously corrupted as this.. some mention Casamayor Cruz, and DLH fights, I agree w/ those to an extent but for some reason this makes me angrier, maybe because I'm older and this is fresher in my memory

nevertheless this is bizarre that it can happen in this day and age...

When a guy wins every round besides one and loses on the cards, its one of the worst calls of all time. You cant become a judge and have no clue how to score at all. That just isnt how it works. So they were bought off. No other way around it. Bought and exposed for the whole world to see.

just another storm in a glass of water that's what this all is. imo lara won too but you can't do a damned thing about it. i just hope pwill is a man enough to give lara a rematch.
