ATLANTIC CITY -- It was nearly two years ago in December of 2009 that a 263-pound Chris Arreola stopped Brian Minto in the fourth round of their heavyweight bout at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall to rebound from the first setback of his professional career two months earlier -- a 10th-round knockout loss during a failed attempt to dethrone WBC king Vitali Klitschko.

That's what he'll be vs Klitscko, an opponent...less in wt but still a loss by ko if/whenit happens...Chris doesn't even have a punchers chance...

It's good to see how Arreola found his dedication. He's going to be a beast with some more practice. If his power punches hit Wlads chin I'm sure we could see a knockdown or a K.O. I'd really love to see him face Haye and with his new dedication rematch Adameck.

I don't understand all the hype about Arreola. Yes he has lost weight and he has a lot of heart. However, he is still not a very good fighter and what will he really learn fighting all those stiffs?

              Chris

He needs a couple more fights with big men. I'd really like to see him develop a solid Jab. I'd like to see him in a fight where he used nothing but a Jab. A champion he can't be without a Jab.

Havent seen the fight yet but in the highlights Arreola looked like he was putting some good combos together and its good he gets some rounds with a durable opponent. He got rocked from what I read so im hoping his weight loss isnt affecting his durability cause he would have some trouble against Wlad if that was the case. Still I think hes the best American heavyweight and has the best chance for an upset against Wladimir possibly Vitali since hes seems to be quicker and putting his punches together better now. If he continues to maintain his weight and starts building a little more muscle he should be ready by 2012 for another title shot maybe sooner who knows up to the bros. I would rather see him fight Dimitrenko first to get some confidence against a taller fighter who has a european fighting style. If not Arreola vs Peter/Grant/Johnson would be cool too in the meantime.

Arreola has no business in a title fight ever. arreola is a club fighter entertaining maybe but not very good.
