It's sad how excellent of a fight this would have been around 2008 or 2009, but now it's only happening because Chagaev is washed up and Povetkin's people see an easy title fight.

Chagaev looked SO lethargic against Walker, he would have been in serious trouble had it been longer than 9 rounds, but I'm still going to root for him. Povetkin will most likely win, though.

Chagaev just seemed to get old overnight after briefly being on top. Povetkin by UD.

IDK I have had a hard time with this one, I don't expect it to be onesided in anyway. It seems very evenly matched unless Povetkin has improved greatly.

          Worst performance of his career.

          Prime Chagaev easily KOs Walker.

            True.

Although his technique is still excellent, his reflexes seem to have gone. He was unable to avoid Walker's punches and so was getting caught far too much.

              Teddy Atlas has RUINED Povetkin.

Chagaev is going to stop the confidence-drained fighter in a mild upset.

And Teddy is going to get the axe from Kalle Sauerland.

I wouldn't read too much into an 8-rounder with Walker that Chagaev didn't even bother to train for. He walked in off the street, got changed and got in the ring. That was his preparation.

Chaggy knows what is on the line this time and he'll be ready. He still has fast hands and a very good chin.

Povetkin is the one with problems -- he has looked a lot worse than Chaggy as he's been slapped around by the sub-bum level opponents, far worse than Travis Walker, Teddy has him fighting.

People are going to see that Teddy has ruined yet another fighter when Chaggy takes Povetkin out.

Chagaev has an ace-in-the-hole that few are taking into account: Teddy Atlas is the other guy's trainer.

The great thing about boxing is how badly mistaken many people are often proven to be.
