Unlike Bute, right...?
He was lousy against Froch, a Jr. Haye with all the flopping around, and against the limited Abraham, he had totally lost momentum and had to resort to acting to get out with a win.
This is so ridiculous, it's not worth discussing.
Go ahead, support anyone coming from Soviet Russia - I honestly don't care but don't act like you're unbiased.Comment

EXPANDED, for Mikhnienko;
I know what you were referring to. I'm not a fan of Dirrell's footwork, FWIW, have criticized it in previous accounts here when it was unduly praised. Sure, Bute's is more economical and tidy, but when the real guys come knocking is when abilities are put to the test, and you can expect to see the limits in Bute's work when that happens. He might not leap around like a spastic springbok a la Dirrell, but that doesn't mean his footwork is great. Comparing him to Ward, whose footwork and control of range is superlative, is an act of wanton generosity.
If he had the stones to test his overrated skills against that kind of lineup back to back, he'd probably be one of my favorite fighters.
Instead, while the real men in the division are fighting each other, Bootay was last sighted weeping like he just KO'd Ezzard Charles, when, in fact, he'd just KO'd Jean-Paul Mendy.
Reality check.
Enough said. Later.

Ok Adam Konitz. In my opinion, doubters will be proven wrong. We'll see what happens in 2012. Bute just said that his possible match against Pavlik will be on 5 November.Comment
