The Punisher wins by 116-112 UD.

Lara is competitive for the first 4 or 5 rounds.

PW finds his groove and dominates late.

Lara's gonna outbox Pwill in the early rounds. Pwill's gonna outwork him in the mid and late rounds.

Tell you the truth, Ruben, I'll be happy with a respectable performance from Lara. If Erislandy manages to make it close and stay on his feet, he can continue to build his career with help from experience against a top guy. No shame in losing to P. Will, especially this early in one's career. I don't care what the naysayers say about Paul; even after that crushing "Maravilla" KO, a victory against him would be quite the feather in Lara's cap.

            WAR Lara!

Two things bother me; Paul's brutal KO loss to Martinez, and his recent repeated discussion of retirement. I've listened to maybe 4 or 5 interviews now where the Punisher talks about hanging up his gloves, that he's accomplished what he's wanted, and that his investment properties are making him all the cash he could want.

Stylistically, Williams needs to turn back the clock to reset his mentality to the high activity, go-ahead-and-hit-me pressure he had before he went to sleep last time out. I get that Lara isn't ready yet, or so most people feel, and that being a counter puncher already suggests he'll lose rounds based on pure punch count.

Still, something tells me Lara might land that nice shot - and then I want to see if Paul shrugs it off, or if his mentality has changed.

The Punisher might become the Punished.

My head tells me Williams UD, but a part of me is curious if Lara can KO him. I just can't decide if he's got it in him.

If this comeback was against another fighter I'd be much more likely to tell you Paul is taking another nap, but I get how unimpressive Lara's last outing was- and that was a step up that still isn't at the level Paul was, or most likely is.

Lara better knock Williams out because he will not outbox Williams just because the difference in activity. Williams is a workrate monster. But maybe Lara can knock him out with counterpunches. I dont think Lara is one of the hardest punchers but Martinez is neither. Its hard to predict IMO. I wouldnt put any money on one of them. I think this could go either way.

Hopefully the old pwill show up. Its too late to teach old dog new tricks, and his most effected way to fight is pressure fighter. The only thing i just want to see him do different is at least use his height and reach advantage effectively.
