Roach stated that Ortiz was much weaker at 140 because he was killing himself to make weight.
Another Wally that reads what he wants to read, and ignores that facts.Comment

theres a big difference moron. he's talking about ortiz having to lose 20+ pounds to make weight :wank:
cotto only had to cut 1 pound off (to 145) of his normal official weigh-in of 146...if you go look at cotto official weigh-ins, its been at 146. but on fight nite, cottos weight was basiccally at his normal fight nite weight.
as for the JMM2 fight at 144, it will not be even close to what mayweather did against JMM...floydie boy talk about fair fight/even playing field...and guess what moron? your manlove floydie went into the official weigh-in over the agreed contract weight, smirking N smiling like WGAF!!!...im sure manny will honor the catchweight, unlike the "racist ranter/security guard&wife beater/i'll have my bodyguards beat you up" fl-omo-sapian.
why is it when marquez moved up to welterweight vs mayweather, people said the extra weight was too much. but when pac moved up to welterweight to fight delahoya/cotto, etc...noone mentioned weight as a disadvantage...now with marquez having to move up again, this time against pac, people continue to say that the weight will be too much for marquez...BUT YET marquez fights basically at the same fight nite weight as pac...whats the disadvantage? i dont get it
How could you possibly confuse muscle-mass with rehydration weight ?
Who the *** uses fight-night weight in a boxing analysis ?
Dude, boxing uses weight divisions, and Marquez is a lightweight who has ALREADY PROVEN that he cannot hang at welter.
Fkn hell, its like you are discussing a totally different fight
People see what they want to see, and hear what they want to hear
Absurd.Comment

I really hope this is a shot at Roach becasue Ortiz has anything but a glass chin, sure he gets knocked down but not out. It's not if you get knocked down, it's what you do when you get back up, and I think that we can all agree that Ortiz has proven he isn't the same fighter that fought Maidana.
WAR ORTIZ!!!!Comment

In a recent interview with the Grand Rapids Press, trainer Freddie Roach discussed the fall showdown between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz. The fight happens on September 17 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. While most experts are giving Mayweather almost no shot of winning the fight with a knockout, Roach believes Mayweather is capable of pulling it off if he catches Ortiz walking in. Mayweather was able to stop Ricky Hatton when he caught the Manchester star walking in with a counter left hand.
