1 sided BEATDOWN?????there was no beatdown at all in that fight
Haye must learn lessons from his humbling

exactly, not being funny but he hardly got beaten down.
But the common consensus is that Haye won round 3 based on basically landing 1 good shot and Wlad landing nothing much.
That's the heavyweight division. And in the most part that was the fight.
What round did Haye get beat up in?
That fight basically just proved why Haye can't beat the Klits. But we knew that by watching the Valuev fight. Haye had so many problems just with Valuev's dimensions, and if Valuev had any real game-plan Haye just wouldn't have been able to overcome them. It's not his size. It's his style.Comment

The thing I found most embarrassing about the night was leaving a great champion like Lennox Lewis stood there like a mug the whole time. I just hope he had been told beforehand by Haye because if not, that is very disrespectful to one of the greats of British Boxing.
And I hope Haye learns from the fight and forgets his plans for retirement. He can still go on for another 4-5 years at least and he does have the weapons to beat the Klitschko's. He just did not throw anywhere near enough punches and the fight just slowly slipped away from him. If they fight again, Haye has to be much more aggresive.Comment

I watched that fight with my uncle and he turned on him because of that.Comment

I have a sneaking su****ion these british journalists have never watched Wladimir fight. That was NOT the "brilliant" Wlad that I know. Granted Wlad fought a well panned out fight and actually went out of his comfort zone it was not nearly the brilliance I saw against Chagaev.Interesting article on BoxRec from a UK sports writer (Martin Williams, who was previously very supportive of David Haye):
http://news.boxrec.com/news/2011/hay...s-his-humbling
Its obviously not Wlad's fault Haye did not want to fight and Wlad was not gonna make noobie mistakes, but still it could be of use to watch Wlad's recent performances for future references.Comment

Haye is a good fighter, you don't become undisputed champion of a division if you aren't. He clearly wasn't as good as his talk, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he could go back to cruiser right now and be the best fighter there tomorrow. He gave me reason to care about a Wlad fight for the first time ever, so he did something right. Now I can go back to ignoring everytime Wlad steps into the ring. The only thing I saw wrong in that article was that at the end he says that haye is a very good fighter. This completely contradicts point blank Williams decription of Haye's behaviour throughout the total fight itself. As Williams correctly described, Haye performed like a total amateur, and a not very good one either. And these were the truest words he wrote.
So where does he get his ending "soothing sop" that Haye is a very good fighter....

I thought it was formulaic.Comment

Haye needs 3-4 years with a good pro trainer, just to learn how to fight, to learn the punches, and different techniques. The thing I found most embarrassing about the night was leaving a great champion like Lennox Lewis stood there like a mug the whole time.
