Cotto: I fell i'm ready for them now. I want to fight the best in my weightclass. I'm ready to show the world that i am one of the best fighters and the only way to do that is to fight the best. Tzysu or gatti.....any one of them, i'm ready now.

BoxingScene caught up with one of the rising new names in the sport, the WBO junior welterweight champion Miguel Cotto. Cotto has been sweeping through the competition and has compiled a 21-0 record with 17 big wins by way of knockout. Cotto will meet his most dangerous opponent to date when he steps in the ring against Randall Bailey on the undercard of the Dec 11 Vitali Klitschko vs. Danny Williams heavyweight showdown. Cotto answers a few questions regarding his upcoming bout and what the future may have in store for him. BoxingScene: Miguel, you are one of the rising stars in this sport. Boxing seems to be recycling the same stars over and over because there aren't enough new stars out there to take their place. Does it put extra pressure on you to perform on a very high level due to the lack of new blood in the last few years?

    june 2005:
tszyu fights hatton in the summer and never fights again.

    end of discussion.

Ts try again in 3 weeks.

He physically grew out of 140 before he was ready to fight one of the top names. As soon as he went to 147 he began fighting tough opposition. Can't hate on him for getting a belt when he was green.

Both Hatton and Cotto were at Mayweather vs Gatti, they wanted none of him after that fight - and he called them all out in front of everyone.

Yeah cause watching old ass Gatti getting sucker punched while complaining to the ref really scared the shyt out of Cotto. Yeah, Gatti getting beatdown somehow relates to Cotto... Come on son. Don't repeat dumb shyt just to sound like you know your shyt.

            BULLSHYT....

Stop with this corny ass "calling out" BS too. Floyd has been mentioning Manny now for years to sell his BS fights and wants NO part of Manny. Calling out is Bullshyt. Sign the papers btches.

As for Cotto wanting no part of Floyd??? Ahahahaha...

Cotto is too cool a dude to sweat the shyt talkin Mayweather. Some men simply don't care to talk shyt and like to get contracts signed. Floyd is the extreme opposite. All talk, no signature, no balls and retirement.

I am not saying Cotto definitely beats Floyd, I am saying Floyd is a ***** and Cotto without a doubt has a chance to break the btch in Floyd.

Floyd vs Cotto is just another "Fantasy Victory" Floyd fans have added to Floyd's resume.

Cotto at 140 would have crushed Hatton in my opinion

Like any other fighter that Bob Arum manages, if Arum can control the negotiations there is no fight happening if he doesn't have the upper financial hand

Cotto showed interest in Tszyu, but he retired. Not sure why him and Hatton never fought, but I'm pretty sure if the offer was made, Cotto would have taken it.

The only one of the three he didn't really try to get for sure was Floyd. I know it was Arum who came up with the "He's not ready" excuse after seeing Floyd dismantle Gatti, but come on, if Cotto really wanted it, he could have had Arum make the fight. I'm not saying he's scared of Floyd or anything because he did mention his name at 147 multiple times. But at that particular moment, he obviously didn't want it that badly.

This is easy,Tszyu was retiring by the time Cotto was even worth fighting..

Mayweather did want to fight Cotto, but Cotto was a bit to green imo,the time for Cotto and Mayweather to fight was after the SSM fight...

Hatton would have never risk a fight with Cotto,Hatton always had plans to move up and get big money fights...

But to answer the question of the thread,Cotto get's no **** for not fighting those guy's becasue he fought other tough opponents...And tbh has had a really nice career..
