Can someone explain to me why he gets no **** for not fighting any of the killers (Tszyu, Mayweather, and Hatton) in this weight division?
Miguel Cotto @ 140

Ahahahaha... You need to ask why Hatton, Mayweather and Tszyu did not fight Cotto at 140lbs.
Here's a cute quote: "Cotto is too green."
And another:
"Cotto lives too far.."
You need to ask yourself why the dude in your avatar got hit so hard in the mouth by Cotto, that his hand started to burn..."
Fack outta here with this BS thread.

Those quotes are only from Mayweather right? What is Miguel's reasoning for not fighting Tszyu and Hatton?Ahahahaha... You need to ask why Hatton, Mayweather and Tszyu did not fight Cotto at 140lbs.

im just curious...where is the fact that Hatton and Tszyu wanted Cotto? You making it seem like Cotto cherry picks his fighters.Comment

I don't understand why Tszyu should be responsible for forcing a fight to happen with Cotto. Tszyu was much more established and high status.Comment

Dec 2004:
Boxing scene: When will you be ready for some of the big names like Hatton, Tszyu and Mayweather?
Cotto: I fell I'm ready for them now. I want to fight the best in my weightclass. I'm ready to show the world that I am one of the best fighters and the only way to do that is to fight the best. Tzysu or Gatti.....any one of them, I'm ready now.
BoxingScene caught up with one of the rising new names in the sport, the WBO junior welterweight champion Miguel Cotto. Cotto has been sweeping through the competition and has compiled a 21-0 record with 17 big wins by way of knockout. Cotto will meet his most dangerous opponent to date when he steps in the ring against Randall Bailey on the undercard of the Dec 11 Vitali Klitschko vs. Danny Williams heavyweight showdown. Cotto answers a few questions regarding his upcoming bout and what the future may have in store for him. BoxingScene: Miguel, you are one of the rising stars in this sport. Boxing seems to be recycling the same stars over and over because there aren't enough new stars out there to take their place. Does it put extra pressure on you to perform on a very high level due to the lack of new blood in the last few years?
JUNE 2005:
Tszyu fights hatton in the summer and never fights again.Comment

Cotto seemed better and that point more experienced at 147. He didn't look bad at 140 but visibly was killing himself to make weight. Hell, look at the Malignaggi weigh in pics...looked like an AIDS patient.
