Interesting thought on the whole Klitschko "size" thing.

without his size, wlad wouldn't be that good. but that's like saying wifebeater without his speed isn't that good or martinez without his southpaw stance isn't that good.

thank you for saying this, and it's true! So what! all these boxers use their natural talent and "gifts" to benifit them in the ring.

Hate to be the devil's advocate, but there is a major flaw in your argument. Mayweather has speed advantages, which is fine. The southpaw advantage for Pacquiao and Martinez is fine. The size advantage for Klitschko is not fine. Having a speed advantage is one thing but we have weight classes for a reason. Your line of reasoning would advocate the abolition of weight classes - after all, big boxers would only be using the physical advantages they were born with. This would render lighter boxers uncompetitive. I'm sorry but your line of reasoning doesn't apply to massive size and weight advantages in my view.

And please don't use the counter argument that Wladimir is following the rules which makes it fine. Some rules are wrong. It is wrong that random blood testing isn't mandatory for example.

First off, No we have have weight classes and secondly, so by your logic Paul Williams should not be allowed to be a WW because he has a freakish size advantage over his WW opponents. Also, many bigger guys have faught Wlad and he beat them, Jamiole Mcline comes to mind. Sorry but try again!

Late reply but again you spew out meaningless crap. The Paul Williams example sucks - I am an advocate of fair weights not fair fights. McCline sucks so that is also a bad argument. That's like saying Floyd Mayweather would beat Dan Rafael so the size advantage isn't a factor. The truth is Wladimir benefits enormously from his size advantage and poor competition rather than brilliant technical skill. You people make out that Wlad is so great, but if he fought a prime Lewis he would get destroyed.

We would be looking at Wlad being

                  Height 5'11" 1/2

                  weight 178 1/2 lbs

                  Reach 75"

Of course Wladamir would also be much FASTER at this weight and have a different style altogether most likely, but I see it as very unlikely any man of that size could have a good chance at winning against someone like haye

just something to consider, what do you think?
If Joe Frazier had a 5" height advantage on Ali and Ali was 5'5 instead of 6'3 he would have ******. Perhaps one day America or the UK will figure out how to implement affirmative action in genetics to please people like yourself.

Not an interesting thought, but rather a mundane one.

If Wlad was that much smaller, of course, he'd be a totally different fighter. DUH.

Most people agree that former great HWs like Joe Louis, Sonny Liston, George Foreman, Muhammad Ali, Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson and more beat both Klitschkos in spite of their size advantages. Creating another division (say SHW) because you think the current HW division sucks isn't going to make the HW division any better (in fact it'll be worse, because you'll be losing the two best fighters.)
