Interesting thought on the whole Klitschko "size" thing.

I was considering, when wondering if the klitschkos were all size, what would happen if you flipped the size difference, say between haye and wlad, so instead of size advantage, we give wlad the same size DISADVANTAGE that haye had, leave Haye at the same size.

We would be looking at Wlad being

    Height 5'11" 1/2

    weight 178 1/2 lbs

    Reach 75"

Of course Wladamir would also be much FASTER at this weight and have a different style altogether most likely, but I see it as very unlikely any man of that size could have a good chance at winning against someone like haye

just something to consider, what do you think?

people still don't get it that wlad's advantage isn't just his size. if size were a big deal then how the hell did haye beat valuev? wlad is an amazing boxer, who has just enough of talent, size and speed. his style looks pretty simple but hardly anyone has come into the ring with him and won. even haye admitted that.

The difference is Wladamir KNOWS how to use his physical advantages, Valuev doesn't, he's clueless of how to use his height. Wlad also has great footwork

Wlad was able to avoid Hayes punches by simply keeping a certain distance and stepping back to avoid the swings, if Wlad wasn't 6'6" then he wouldnt be able to simply step back, the distance wouldnt work

that's what i'm saying Wlads footwork, distance and size all work to make him very difficult to hit, if you take away his height he would have to rely on more traditional forms of defence, which would make things more interesting

their size is an advantage for their style.
however it is a disadvantage if they have a style like Tyson's becoz their size would cost them on speed, agility, explosiveness, evaisiveness etc.

like u said, they won't have the same styles...but ill tell you this, if they were both the same size, haye would win by KO early

If they were both the same size, but Klitschko was black and called Carl Thompson then I wouldn't be so sure...

Hayes running and low punch output hurts him no matter the size difference. A an equal sized Vitali still bullies Haye the entire fight unless we want to hypothetically pretend Haye is tougher mentally as well.

this is silly, this is like saying dirk nitkowski wouldnt be the best basket ball player if he wasnt seveon foot.

Fact is, hes 6 ft 6, but very quick and athletic, far from robot like.

There are boxers that have good chins, if they didnt have good chins how good would they be???

Stipid question and detracts from the fact that wlad is the greatest ever heavyweight....
