What if Paul Williams went back down to 147...

And became like the Wladimir Klitschko of the division? (use size, height)

Do you think he'd be almost unbeatable?

His iron chin would certainly be a plus.

Except he fights absolutely nothing like Wlad. And Carlos Quintana showed us that he can be beat at welter weight.

Maybe I should rephrase my question.

What if he CHANGED his style to be like or similar to Wlads.

The thing with Wlad is, he isn't just tall, he's also very big. You can't get a size advantage like that anywhere but the heavyweight division, so I'm not sure how successful Paul Williams would be trying to imitate Wlad.

Yes I understand that Wlad is also very big.

Just asking what if Paul actually used his height and had a much better jab.

Naah Pwill will always have his style. He may start using more head movement, and his jab more often (also possible stay on the outside a lil more) but at the end of the day he is going to be a pressure/extreme volume puncher.

I do see him destroying Lara, knocking off a few big names and risen back to the top real soon.

It'd probably work better for him than his current style considering he's very lanky and he has a freakish reach.

well tbh, we aren't sure how good paul's chin is as of now. also, moving around in weight won't do him any good, i'd rather see him stay at LMW. if paul used his reach/height to his advantage, i could see him having a chance at being the top guy at LMW, not just WW.

                  great post.

That's one of my only problems with Paul, he doesn't use his height.

But if he did that, he wouldn't be as exciting as he is now.
