I rewatched the fight.......and once you take out the anticipation factor that you get when watching it "Live" the fight is actually pretty dull.

For the first 2 rounds both boxers are guilty of "shadow boxing" and throw no punches that axtually land.
The 3 round is by far the best where box boxers engage in a brief but meaningful exchange.........If the rest of the fight had been like round 3 then it would have been a good fight.........but as we know it sadlydidn't pann out that way.

If you watch many of the rounds closely, many of Haye's attacks either miss or are only glancing blows......and look far more spectatcular than they actually are.
Wlad for his part did score more punches than Haye.......but his punch count wasn't that great either,
The final round was inevitable going to have more action than the than of the figfht put together bar round 3.....as each man went looking for the elusive KO that BOTH boxers said they would deliver.

Haye simply didn't throw nearly enough punches......banking on a single lucky pot to Ko Wlad.
Wlad for his part was more disciplined sticking to his jab......but he didn't exactly push the boat out to get the KO either.....there were no surprises....no upper cuts or crosses to trap Haye with.

A rematch........no thanks....Wlads effective but boring.......and Haye against the Klitschkos and Valuevs of this world adopts an unattractive "Hit and run"
    tactic.
If Haye stood his ground and fought it would have the makings of good fight.......but Haye hasn't got the skills or courage of Holyfield to take the figfht to the bigger man.

why the f. is a rematch for this crap needed? these 2 guys have wasted 11 rounds staring at eachother. then in the twelfth haye suddenly remembers he promised his fans an action packed fight, and start swinging telegraphed punches which one could see coming from the space station.

What I don't understand is why people thought this fight would be action packed.

Wlad is a cautious professional, Haye likes to counter punch or wildly pounce on an opponent once they display vulnerability. With Wlad's physical advantage along with his boxing ability the fight was never going to be interesting as he would not give Haye the opportunity to look good.

People need to stop assuming that boxing is as simple as going in the ring and hitting the other guy. If you attack without caution you will be the one to end up on your ass.

That being said I don't want to see a rematch. I knew how Haye would get whipped before the fight occurred, the same thing will happen again.

People's standards have really dropped to think that wasn't a bad fight.

            Larry's opinion is irrelevant .

He creates these threads for attention and conversation.

His opinion changes depending on which day of the week it is.

He's damn close to being a troll.

anything short of what g'haye was talking about leading up into this fight, is a failure!!!!!

he talked so much crap, he had to take the fight to him, haye had to be a beast, instead he laid down like a sheepskin rug and damn near pissed himself inside the ring.

you might and others might of had an argument for g'haye in this fight had he not talked so much trash!!!

he talked so much, and did absolutely nothing, he didn't even have a plan!!!!! which he talked so much about!

not living up to the hype, especially how short haye came to living up to his own hype....

g'haye just KO'D his whole career if you ask me, i sure a **** don't like him now, don't want anything to do with him as a fan of the sport, he's an embarrassment and a fraud.....

he fought like shidt, he fought more scared than most who have gone up against either klitschko, and he talked more trash than Ali and james toney combined!!!! all to fight like Morrade Hakkar did against Hopkins!!!!

david haye is an embarrassment to all manhood..............

What the fuck do you expect him to say. This is going to be a cagey fight where my attack will depend on the openings that present themselves to me. His job is to promote the fight of course he will talk about how action packed it will be, you don't down play the product you are trying to sell.

And it was not feasible for him to live up to his promise, if he tried making the fight action packed Wlad would have sparked him out in no time. It's easy to talk about what you would do but until you're in the situation it is nothing but hot air.

Most of us kinda of knew that Wlad was going to Jab, Jab Jab.....that's what he does.
Some of us.....myself included suspected Haye to take the "hit and run" potshot approach......so to me the fight being a dull fight was no real surprise.

That said however you can't win fights without throwing punches.....Haye threw about 5 punches of any significance the whole fight!
Haye was the one promising a fight......and he was the one that couldn't deliver....broken hand.....broken toe....broken mouth!
