The fight was a snoozer. Haye failed to execute his game-plan, and froze in there. I felt embarrassed for the guy after all the smack he talked.

However, Wlad should be putting away a CW. He should have knocked him out since this was suppose to be his career defining fight. He didn't win that impressively.

The only reason people are disappointed (myself included) is because it didn't live up to the hype. Had this fight had no real build up around it and it was just a regular HBO fight people wouldn't be so pissed.

Here we go with the revisionist history... predictable.

Wlad won easy, but was too conservative.

Vitali would have knocked Haye out. Hell, even a pressure fighter with a granite chin like the new and improved Cristobal Arreola would have stopped Haye.

As far as challenges, Tony Thompson did FAR better against Wlad -- he even won some early rounds, and he landed some hard shots throughout the fight.

On merit, Thompson deserves a rematch far more than Haye.

I was at a cookout and asked the host to put the fight on. Round 5 a few guys come in to watch. I told them if you just ate don't watch cuz this will put you to ****in sleep.

I DVR'd it just in case I missed it. Got home and deleted the fight IMMEDIATELY.

On a serious note, I wish HBO passed on this **** so Bhop v Dawson is on regular TV instead of PPV.
