What does Lara need to do to beat Williams?

This is a great fight, under appreciated on NSB.

Lara struggled in his last fight against Carlos Molina because of volume punching. Some say he overlooked the fight, didn't train hard, etc., but in the end, he did struggle. Williams is obviously a volume puncher, so in my mind Lara needs to score a KO. It's not his game to out-punch someone who throws a lot of punches. He likes to set up his shots and make them count.

Should he try to be more aggressive early, make Williams respect his power, or should he just do what he does and wait for an open shot since Williams is open a lot? What should he do?

id say fight in the inside more to neutralize Paul's reach/arm length,. That, or just do a Sergio and swing wide, aim high, and hope it connects.

Try to get inside, and also can that high guard style of defense , because when Lara does that he doesn't throw back at all he just stands there, and Williams who throws so many punches he's just gonna beat him on points like that and Lara wont have a shot at winning rounds like that ......

i could understand if Lara threw back but he just covers up and does nothing when he gets in that mode and thats to williams advantage big time.

He needs to get inside of the big spider and land a uppercut.

Is it me or does Pwill have a really thin neck? Dude needs to do some neck exercises to get thicker neck muscles

Lara has to come out boxing, not exchanging. Pwilly has to warm up vs new opponents and tends to start slower if his opponent is boxing him rather than straight ****ing with him (fast start vs margs/sergio, slow start vs cintron and quintana 1). Box him up for 2 rds and try to use angles and speed to put him down.

He has to get to that chin though to test pwills psyche. Problem is, an you mentioned, that lara doesn't look comfortable when pressure's on him, so the closer we get to the middle rounds, the more leather pwilly is gonna have in his facepiece. I got pwilly by late stoppage/ud.

          AND DO NOT SHELL UP!!!!!

Molina is underrated, which is why Williams people didn't want any of that. He can make anyone look worse than they are.

All Lara has to do is be himself and his class will carry him over Williams. He does everything technically better than Williams and seems to carry legit power. Williams has poor technique, a suspect chin and no defense.

Barring any miracle, I see a clinic from Lara.
