The HBO crew is very biased, they can make you believe things. If you look at punch stats, Jan was ahead pretty good, he was breathing with mouth closed and looking strong. Berto was gasping for air and clinching every 10 seconds.

This is sad but what can you do? Next time he fights an American he should headbutt him first I guess.

On a side note...how does a guy like Vic (the clear) Conte weasel himself back into the boxing scene after being buster for designer steroids peddling. I laughed at Max Kellerman's comment about letting the fox guard the henhouse.

About the fight...I noticed Berto huffing and puffing on the stool at the end of the 1st round...lucky for him it ended early.

Conte has a ton of gall. And a closet full of PEDs.

i was following the HD translation..........zavec basically told his corner to stop the fight, he stated to his corner that he couldn't see out of ether eye.




a trainer has no CHOICE but to listen to his fighter & protect his eyes..............

It was a pretty even affair, no one was clearly ahead at the stoppage. The damage on Zavec's face appeared out of nowhere, I was surprised. Didn't see if it was a punch or butt.

Good fight and good effort by both guys, regardless.
