No way can Lennox be on a top 10 list, I'm sorry. But a good list overall, though. I have Ali #1 as well, it's tough but when you think about all the top guys he beat there's no way around it, he deserves the spot. I'd probably move Tunney down the list a bit and put Louis #2.
1marciano.
2joe louis
3. ali
4. foreman
5.dempsey.
6.frazier.
7.liston.
8.holmes.
9.tunney
10. holyfield.
11.lewis.
12.tyson.
These lists are always subjective, but Sonny Liston at number 7?? Two successful title defenses over a china-chinned Floyd Patterson does not equate to 7th best heavy of all-time in my books. Liston is top 20 at best.
1. ali
2. Joe Louis
3. George Foreman
4. Larry Holmes
5. Lennox lewis
6. Rocky Marciano
7. Evander Holyfield
8. Mike tyson
9. Joe frazier
10. Sonny Liston
Well I Don't seem to have done too badly, I DID Think about Liston too, but I Just couldn't fit him in there, there's nobody I Could leave out to fit him in.
I Deceided to have a go at this, but it's really hard and I'm still not sure about the order so go easy on me.
1) Ali
2) Foreman
3) Marciano
4) Tunney
5) Louis
6) Lewis
7) Holmes
8) Holyfield
9) Frazier
10)Tyson
Actually, I'd agree with you on this for the most part. I'd flip Louis and Foreman and move Frazier ahead of Holyfield. I'm a bit iffy on Tyson in there, but I'll let that slide.
Nice list, sir!
On a side note, this is the second time I've agreed with Martin on something. I think I'm turning British =(
