Bernard Hopkins is the most Boring Fighter in Boxing

Who are the most boring fighters in boxing?

Personally I'd say Bernard Hopkins takes the cake. This guys fights never end in KO, and they are 12 round hug fests and just completely boring. I dont remember Bernard being in an exciting fight in over 10 years. Bernard's style is god awful, and always leads to close, controversial, crappy fights.

Bernard's fights are just awful to watch, his style is disgusting. Granted he is a very tricky fighter. It seems like Bernard is a "one trick pony" however. I never enjoy his fights, and he has never even been in a decent fight in over 10 years.

Other boring fighters (not as bad as Bernard but generally pretty boring and unexciting):

    Kris Wlodarczyk
    Floyd Mayweather
    Lamont Peterson
    Yuri Foreman
    Andre Ward

yes. i agree. he criticsied the klistchkos but they are better boxers
than him. if hopkisn didnt fight in his style of holding he would have
been kncoked out long ago. he ducked james toney numerous times

            Nonsense.

Hopkins has only had 2 bad fights since he moved up from 160.

Maybe he is (depending on what your criteria in general is, for entertainment, great skilled guys who are effective OR lower level guys who bleed and make opponents bleed or whatever), but I'm a fan of crafty, taking least amount of punishment, effective boxers, who keep winning. Who have set a example of clean living and consistent, year-long physical discipline.

Which means, Bernard Hopkins, Wlad Klitschko and even Floyd Mayweather - who I'm not a fan of outside the ring, especially when he is away for long periods of time, appearing on tabloid news like TMZ.

Both of his last two fights have been good. His destruction of Pavlik was a joy as a boxing fan. So was the Trinidad fight. The Taylor fights were good, and while the first Roy fight wasn't a barnburner it wasn't bad.

Hopkins has been in good fights.

I Wouldn't ay he's the most boring but he's often the most awkward to watch. He walks the thin line between cunning strategy and just being an annoying *****.

That hopkins vs rjj fight was actually physically agonizing to watch, you'd get a cleaner fight from 2 coked out hobos. But boring isn't quite the word. Just awkward.

Bernard hasn't had a KO in 7 years.

Even Pauli Malignaggi has more KOs in the same timeframe.

Bernard's fights lack action, and is always him holding, and throwing like 15 punches a round.

The only fight of his that was good was when he got beat by Joe Calzaghe. But even in that fight Bernard was crying like a baby.

Both Hopkins-Pascal fights ****** and were awful as far as entertainment goes.

Hopkins-Jones 2 is probably the worst fight Ive ever seen and that is because of Bernard's style, not Roy's.
