I disagree. There may be closer fights but it won't change how awful the fighters are. We won't have Vitali and Wlad to see good heavyweight boxers, just a bunch of unskilled, no stamina bums.

Barring someone unforeseeable at the moment stepping up and being worthy, heavyweight boxing will be even worse when the Klitschkos retire.

Class of skills in HW division may go down but excitement will increase in 10 folds.

I guess if you are ok with knowing that better fighters are no longer fighting anymore and these exciting fights are being produced by 2nd tier guys.

I agree, it's easier to get exciting fight between 2 mediocre guys instead of one mediocre guy and a good one. Still I won say that it will be good for the division, I like to see good boxers fight, not just two mediocre people fighting like morons. But well, that's just my opinion, in fact I like Wlad because he's most skilled that more people say, he's just not tall and strong, but he knows how to use all his strenghts to his advantage.

No, there will be "better" fights, bnecause the contestants will be more evenly matched, not outclassed as they all have been against the Klitschkos.

it's good matchmaking which makes the good fights, not neccessarily the good fighters.

The Klitschkos will retire then some new guy named "Datsukoshunavik Mladicowski" will reign for the next 10 years and you guys will hate him just as much.

If this is the way you look at it, then why do you even care? Ignore who the champ is and just watch low ranked ripped meatheads throw windmill punches. It's not like those guys disappeared 20 years ago, they just ceased to be able to beat anyone but each other.

The contenders would not fight each other now, what makes you think they are gonna fight each other when K2 retires?

I always thought Monica was the hotter of the two. Anyways, when the Klitschkos retire people will miss them because of how dominating they are and how consistent they are.

Yay! Then all the fat ass, undisciplined guys like Chris Arreola and Ray Austin, who the Klitschkos already dominated, will be champions! Let's celebrate!

Because we all want the Heavyweight Champ to be a short fat guy with limited skills. Right?
