This was a very good win for wlad, No this does not make him the best or an atg heavyweight, 1 very good win does not do that. You are only good as the guys you beat, I think wlad deserves all the credit in the world and this is coming from a huge haye fans, all though I found his Toe excuse rather annoying.

Time to clear up myths

for those saying haye came for a pay check, get a reality check, he threw huge bombs in the first two-three rounds, wlad said that but he landed very little because every time haye threw, not only did he had to reach out far, wlad also took 1-2 steps back AND also waved the punches like khan did vs maidana

This made hayes shots landed very loosely, he never connected flush until the third and twelth round, I though haye was going to knock wlad out when he landed in the 12th, he was hurt for sure but wlad had a plan for everything. If he got hurt, he grabbed and made sure Haye could not throw, the ref was a piece of trash and everyone knows that, he was stewards puppet sadly

The next myth is that Haye was defensive, again what you people fail to realise is haye looked defensive because wlad made him look like it, his defence was that good as I explained above that haye was landing very little, this made haye throw less and look for the openings, haye had the wrong game plan and wlad had the perfect plan

Nobody is giving wlad credit for making haye look like he was in 2nd gear

Another myth of haye running all night, those who say that, just never watch boxing again, fighting on the back foot is not running.

Myth that wlad jab jab and grabbed, he only grabbed when haye landed on him came in close, mayweather and hatton did that. Mayweather would have got knocked out if he didnt grab against mosley. Wlad did the same, he would have probably got knocked out if he let haye hit him and not grab him

What does this win do for Wlad

It should certainly put him behind Pac and Mayweather as the number 3 p4p, possibly 4th but that is debatable, that is all it should do

It does not make wlad the only good heavy picking on bums, it does not make him the best ever, it makes him a class heavyweight

How he will be defined when he retires is still to be seen as he is in his prime right now

If he wants to increase his rankings, he needs to be smart, help build up haye again and then promise him a fight, if he wins his stock rises, there arent any good heavies bar haye and the brothers who are fit and proper fighters

wlad is not a counterpuncher who doesn't know that? he took the initiative IMO because haye just stood in front of him clueless. and he started to throw his right more often after 8th or so,when he saw haye is a no-delivery. i have to give props to haye for taking the hits but that's not how you win a match.
