What a waste of time.
Whether Haye "ran" or not is debating semantics and what he said before the fight is basically irrelevant since every fighter talks big before every fight.
What's important is the lame performance Haye offered up, struggling to land punches, content to throw as little as possible and stay defensive, jawing, flopping around and whining the whole time. A three year build-up for that? To try and potshot from the outside at the rate of like 15-20 punches a round after getting constantly jabbed (or even just jabbed at)? Did he not realize very early on that it wouldn't work as he was whiffing wide punches from the outside almost every time he threw (which wasn't often)?
The performance was lame. But this mouthing off after a performance like that is a disgrace.
I'm sure a broken toe hurts. But if you're going into a fight with an injury that you don't think will allow you to perform even decently, it's your fault for not canceling in the first place. Past that, it shows what type of character he has that he'd rather just move his head frantically, smile and beg the ref for help all night than give himself the best shot at winning by going after Wlad.
I did like how he had his shoe off and foot ready by the time Larry got to him for an interview though. That was better timing and effort than he showed in 36 minutes of fighting.
As for Wlad, same ****, different day. He's thoroughly dominated a very weak era and now there's no choice but to acknowledge that and give him whatever measure of credit he deserves. But it wasn't all that pretty nor exciting. He'll probably fight another 3-5 times, retire and that'll be that.
In summation, David Haye, please leave us the **** alone now. Thanks in advance.

I don't think in the cold light of day a rematch now makes any sense. Do we really want to hear another round of Klitschko-Haye rhetoric so soon? I think it's boring at this point. And the fight wasn't close enough to make a rematch feel necessary or needed.
No rematch unless Haye beats a top contender. Let him fight Arreola first.

Haye said if he beats Wlad he dont want to hear no excuses, like Wlad has been knocked out before, or excuses like that. But now, Haye is making his own excuses up so i thinks its a bit contradictory of haye.
Before the fight haye said he was healthy so its hard to believe the injury effected the outcome really. If Haye had two good legs, he would have attacked more, and as a result he might have got himself knocked out because of having two good legs.
So having one bad leg might have saved himself from being knocked out.

I'm not coming to his defence, so, again, please brush up on your reading skills.
