I'd favor a prime Vitali in any fight against any heavyweight in history, as in, I'd put money on him to win, not just favor him because I like his style. I believe he would beat anyone at boxing, period.

Wlad is like top 20-25 material but too one-dimensional (has to stay outside to win) to be a reliable pick. "The absolute greatest" needs to be someone who is well-rounded like Vitali, or even able to switch specialties over the span of their career like Foreman, they can't be guys like Wlad and Tyson who have mastered one area to perfection but look lost if the fight takes place too close or too far. Frazier and Ali weren't that rounded either.

Stop living in the past. Half of Klitschko's opponents would have ruled previous eras like the 1970s, let alone the Klitschkos themselves.

I made a poll here recently and of 20 guys who claimed Haye will win, 19 also said that Muhammad Ali would win against Klitschko.

Tyson certainly would get inside though he has fought guys in the past who are the same size and have just as good a jab

Tyson was able to get inside because of his great speed, head bobbing and weaving and footwork, and throwing unexpected awkward-angle punches at the same time, all calculated to get him there. Tyson never moved from one spot to the other without automatically putting himself into a position to punch. But if, hypothetically, they were to fight, Steward would have trained Klitschko in the tools neccessary to combat this, and he would keep tying him up and weighing down on him.

You guys ALL FORGET that Bonecrusher Smith, a big guy, and a Champion who had other tools, did this very same thing to Tyson, who couldn't do ANYTHING with him for 12 long rounds. And this was at a period in time when all the pundits were saying that NOBODY could last out through a fight with Tyson. Bonecrusher determined that he would. He didn't try to win, just to gothe distance...and he did, locked together with Tyson the whole fight.

I sometimes feel a little embarrassed at having to point out these things to guys who obviously come up short in boxing history and knowledge. The problem is that you can't get it just by watching a few fights and joining a site. You have to be in it since childhood, eat, sleep and drink boxing.

You should really learn something about pro boxing before digging yourself such a hole. You don't know what you're talking about. Reading what the blurb journalists say, or exaggerating on a few videos you've seen won't so the trick. Did you ever hear of the word analyse??

Do you even really UNDERSTAND what goes into analysis? Your comments about Klitschko's eye show that you don't. Klitschko's "eye" was just a cut across his eyebrow, which had STOPPED bleeding by the 4th rd....TWO FULL RDS before the imbecile doctor stopped the fight because of the eyebrow cut. He gave at LEAST 3 different excuses-and that's what they were, excuses, not reasons- the first of which was "I told him to look up and he didn't" .

This incompetent disgrace to the medical profession later said that Klitschko couldn't open his EYELID, so was blind in one eye. That was ONLY his FIRST excuse. Klitschko's pictures in the ring, after the fight, showed that this was NOT TRUE, that his eye was WIDE OPEN, just like the other. The stoppage was a fraud., just as all the crap about "Klitschko's eye hanging out" Or Klitschko's face hanging off" or any other LIES that the LIARS can make up.

And I don't even want to waste my time going into the other excuses. I'm fed up finding that I keep needing to do it. There seems to be an UNLIMITED supply of Boxing Dumbos, who will NEVER learn................
