I expected it to be cagey for the duration of the fight, and it proved true. Haye was up against insurmountable odds, and couldn't find a way to nullify the jab, height, and reach of Klitschko. He could have let more punches go, but hey, I'm sure he did his best.

To be honest, I was impressed with a lot of Haye's work. He made Klitschko miss and showed some good slickness, even troubling with the big right on occasion. Considering I expected Haye to get knocked out within 4 rounds, he did much better than anticipated.

Haye lost to a great champion and has nothing to be ashamed of.
I totally agree with this post I knew the problems he would have in this fight, and he couldn't find the solutions. Haye is a long range fighter himself, but klitschko is better at it, and has physical advantages. I was also impressed with some of what haye did in the fight.

Haye did let you all down pretty badly. Where were all the fireworks he promised? He was too cautious throughout. And then he comes out with this pinky toe excuse, just rubbing salt in his fans wounds surely?

I actually think he got it in the 12th and was trying to unload to finish it but Klitschko held on and smothered his arms. Too little, too late ultimately.

To the threadstarter, the performance was only a let-down if your expectations were high. The excuse-making at the end is what soured it for some people, but then that might be Haye's ticket to a rematch and £15mill+ so I'm not going to hate on him for that.

What a shocking fight that was last night. Haye fought like a wimp!!! He talked and talked for years about doing this to wlad yet when he entered the ring he run like a *****. He never came to fight but just to survive the 12 rounds. You could see how angry wlad was at the end in his interview. It was obvious he wanted haye to fight but instead Haye was just like ibragimov and fought to survive.

My expectations were high, Haye's talk didnt hurt my confidence in him either.
Its the manner of the loss tho man, the falling about the constant complaining, the excuses its just not good man. Could u see a Joe Frazier acting like that? HW boxing is dead

Haye talks too much pre-fight and even run his mouth to the ref while fighting not his hand against Wlad.

Hayefaker. Thought he could have done more, but he was outclassed really.

Haye has went down in my estimation anyway. I'm not sold on him at heavyweight. When I look through his resume at heavyweight, there is nothing to suggest he's much better than Chambers, Arreola, Adamek, I give these guys a legit shot against Haye.

                  Haye wasn't in survival mode.

His game plan was obviously to make Wlad miss, and counter with big shots. Wlad didn't fall for all the trash talk though, and remained calm, and in control of himself. Haye was banking on Wlad coming out and being aggressive, and that didn't happen, thus he wasn't able to find the room to land his haymakers.

Haye had the wrong game plan, and underestimated how good Wlad is. Those were his biggest mistakes.

Haye made a prize tit of himself right from the off. Coming to the ring wrapped in tin foil with a long ****** beard, then staggering about like a drunkard and kneeling down every couple of minutes. Then to top it off he blamed a chipped toenail for the reason Wladimir schooled him. Absolute ****ing **** head. Wladimir has been a class act from start to finish.

I enjoyed all the pre fight trash talk, but u gotta back it up man.

Why is it everytime theres a MASSIVE BLOCKBUSTER like PBF vs ODH or Tyson vs Lewis or this *****, u know when all the non boxing fans want to see it and the world is watching that the fight ends up being pump and boxing just looks wank?

I wish the casuals would tune into bouts like Gatti vs Ward or Corrales vs Castillo or even Marquez vs Diaz ect!
