If he doesn't know, that would explain his nonexistent body attack. I'm a fan of Wlad's but this to me is inexcusable. I've noticed his lack of body punching for the last couple of fights but, he more or less, didn't need it...
But tonight, the body attack would've helped him immensely. Basically what's the solution to slow a guy down and to reduce his head movement and to soften him up? Well, I'm not ****ing Freddie Roach, but I think the answer is, you punch your opponent in the stomach...
When Wlad had Haye in the corner of the ring, he repeatedly head hunted and missed most of the time. He was never able to trap Haye because David has good head and body movement. As a result, we had Klitschko chasing Haye around for 12 rounds throwing head shots and missing a lot of them and the ones that did land, were not flush and damaging...
Anyway, I'm not a pro boxer or trainer, I'm just a spectator but am I that off with this criticism? What are your thoughts?..
