The simply solution is disqualification. You lose your mouthpiece once, it's an accident. You grab it and throw it away, nights over for you.

IF he looses his mouthpiece he has to fight without one. Very simple.

Exactly and if he spits it a second time the fight is over...

                Deliberate spitting of mouthpiece:
                First offense - warning
                Second offecnse - point deduction
                Third - Disqualification

I think this is fair enough.

If not why not give a fighter in trouble 25 seconds instead of 10, why go thru the bull**** of spitting a mouthpiece when we can just extend the count.
chico's heart, determination, and left hooks and right hands won the fight for corrales....the mouthpiece trick just gave him another chance.

I agree completely - spitting out the mouthpiece is cheating. Corrales got a ton of rest during that last round by spitting out the mouthpiece, twice - I bet that he would have gotten tkoed if he hadn't done that.

If the fight played out the exact same way and Corrales did the same exact things he did in the first fight I would bet anything that the second spitting of the mouthpiece would be the last, the fight would absolutly positively have to be called at that point...

Either that or Diego should just be given 25 seconds to rise from a knockdown instead of 10.
He should be DQ'ed on the first. If the mouthpiece legitimately comes out from a blow to the face, as they have many times, then it's one thing, but to pull it out is a cowardly move, and cheating.

Coralles should not be the champion right now.
