there are no contenders thats my point, everyone is a bum,

you cant have a great legacy is you dont have great opponents...people use to complain about Tysons opponents, however the last 10 years makes the boxers Tyson fought look like Ali.

Ive seen Wlad jabbing at small fat bums who look like they eat 10 meals a day and work as part time bouncers at some techno club....they just stand in one position, no leg movements, no skill and eat jabs for breakfest and then get knocked out

My issue with the Klits is they are boring by default due to the matches they have had, they really should thank Haye for bringing some much needed attention to the HWD and Wlad...

"Right now he has no legacy outside of being boring. I mean, I was seated at one of his fights and I had to tell the guy in the press section in front of me to quit snoring because he was keeping me awake."

No doubt Wlad became overcautious at times since he has been with Steward. That's probably why Vitali dislikes Steward's methods. Wlad was an offensive machine under Fritz Sdunek, but he ran into some problems, like getting KO'd.

Vitali always goes for it, and if he doesn't get the KO it isn't because he isn't trying for it. Anyone who says otherwise has never seen him fight.

But overall, they can only fight the top contenders in the division, and they have, so blaming them for their competition's flaws is ludicrous. Tyson fought loads of bums, Holmes fought mostly bums, even Joe Louis had the "bum of the month club" for awhile.

The truth is the heavyweight division has more often been like it is now than it has been loaded with stars. The latter is an anomaly.

And since the future of the division likely doesn't include America to any great degree, even if some Euro stars do arise, people like Sugar will never accept them anyway, for obvious reasons. Don't want to call him pro-black? How about anti-Euro then?

Man if Wlad moved into the pocket and threw a combo once or twice every couple rounds we wouldn;t be saying this.

But he doesn't. Wlad is always hanging on the outside for almost the entire fight and then he throws his KO.

And thats it... and thats boring.

I hate Miles Davis...Coltrane is okay but I love the blues...give me The Who, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and Johnny Cash any day.

The two brothers look the same and talk the same, but in the ring they are vastly different. If there had been a few more recent heavyweights like Vitali (and if he could have stayed healthy), nobody would be saying the division was "boring". Wladimir is the one with the boring style.
Yes, Vitali is the man for sure. Anyone who says the brothers fight the same way has never watched them. Vitali has a great chin, doesn't overly rely on the jab, and doesn't clinch much at all. We have the bandgwagon fight fans on here today parroting crap they've heard from ****s like Burt Sugar.

I enjoy watching Wlad, but admit he can be quite frustrating post-Fritz. Lennox Lewis got the same criticism using Manny's style. Remember his fight with Tua?

Vitali is a whole other kettle of fish and people who say "the Klitschkos" fight a certain way instantly lose credibility.

That may be and I have no right to disavow your opinion on the man.

My point is that the bar for him is higher than that of your average boxing fan. Even for me, whenever I watch the Thrilla in Manila or Hagler-Hearns, I always re-affirm that these were PPV-worthy fights! As much as I respect the Klitchkos, like Sugar, I've rarely felt the same way with their performances.

So I'm hoping today's bout will run counter to that, even though, most def, Kind of Blue is one of the greatest LPs ever (note the anachronistic reference to vinyl).

Tyson was indeed an anomaly because he was a half-insane thug running on adrenaline and *******.

Otherwise, the Klitschkos are just like any other fighters: some fights are better than others. Vitali always brings it, Wlad used to until he go together with Manny Steward. "Boring" is most often a code word for "I don't like these guys because they are white" with the Klitschkos. Especially when it's used as a blanket condemnation of the brothers, who don't really fight much like each other at all.
I happen to like the brothers. That doesn't preclude me from disliking them as boxers. They might fight differently, but the resulting boredom is the same. Wlad is generally considered the better fighter. I prefer Vitali; he's the badder man.

And, by the way...you're confusing hard bop with Caribbean rhythms. It goes to show that your knowledge of music is as flawed as your appraisal of people. I'll bet you have "Ride of the Valkyries" playing on a loop.
