no, i would trash pac if he had chosen ortiz immediately after his win over berto. he didn't fight berto because he was unproven, but actually had a few fights as champ, but you're gonna fight ortiz off of one fight at welter and for beating berto? atleast allow him a few fights to try to solidify himself as a legit challenge. i said so after berto-ortiz i hope neither pac or mayweather had any ideas of fighting ortiz next. fighting ortiz now is like taking advantage of the hype to take the fans for a ride. pac would annihilate him hatton style. no disrespect to ortiz, he's just levels below them ability wise

ortiz is the "no mas" fighter of his generation. Of all people, he said "no mas" to maidana, a so-called fellow "young gun" who barely beat an off prime morales who had been dismantled a few years earlier in a 3 round ko.

Mayweather is 12 to 1 favorite against ortiz. No big deal if he wins. He is expected to win. If a low level fighter like maidana can make ortiz say "no mas" anyone can make ortiz say "no mas". Cott, margarito, and others would ruin his health. Mayweather can't and won't.

Only way i give mayweather a little credit is if he kos ortiz in less than 3. Any performance less than this, floyd gets absolutely zero credit.

TBH Floyd gets full credit for this bout, as well as the Mosley, Hatton and Oscar bouts....atleast from me.

I'm really tired of 99% of these so-called boxing fans logging onto this site and finding every opportunity to discredit a fighter/fight.
