I think many of you are predicting the winner based on their performances last Saturday or whenever it was. First, Toney is a spectacular inside fighter, but the fight will never go to the inside. Byrd hasn't deteriorated as much as many think, he just has been fighting more aggressively to suit fans. I don't know why he didn't fight TOS, I didn't think his right was THAT hard. I think if Byrd keeps his distance, Toney will try to make a fight of it and that suits Byrd just fine, he won't throw his game plan out the window like Guinn did. Toney won't be able to stop Byrd even if he does win, look how many clean shots he landed on Guinn, and he won't hit Byrd even close to that many times. I'm not a Byrd fan, but I still see Byrd taking a MD or UD over Toney.

I think the winner will be whoever can impose their will. Both are counterpunchers so whoever is forced to go on the offensive will probably loose. IF byrd becomes the punhcer on that night Toney will eat him alive and may even knock him out. If Toney becomes the agressor and the puncher that night then he will loose as byrd will stay on the outside and counterpucnh all night. I dont think he can hurt Toney but Toney can definitely hurt him.

How can someone pick Toney to KO Byrd?
Byrd wasn't Kayoed by bigger hitters than Toney - Tua, Klitschkos, Puritty, Williamson, etc ?(excluding Holyfield as he was injured in that fight, where I was sitting ringside and could easily hear Holyfield connecting huge shots)
Toney / Byrd would have been a very competitive fight few years back (assuming Toney was a heavyweight) but at this point, all odds point to Toney..
Byrd lost his interest, where Toney still has a hunger of becoming a HW champ!
Toney UD, something like 116-112

People obviously think this is the elusive Byrd of a few years ago.
THE MAN IS EASY TO HIT NOW!!!
Fres Oquendo isn't some genious outside fighter but he found the mark on Byrd fairly easily in their bout. There is NO evidence to suggest that Byrds skills aren't deteriorating from his last handful of fights.
"Toney is only effective when his opponent comes to him"--False statement. I've seen him take the lead in a fight effectively plenty of times.
Byrd won't score often enough to closely steal rounds, and Toneys CLEANER, harder shots will tell the difference in the fight.

people say that slickster byrd isn't as slick as he used to be. just want to point out here, that byrd says he wants to try to slug more because boxing's becoming boring to him and he wants to entertain more as well. this is just what byrd was saying, not necessarily my opinion.
and anybody else catch the interview where byrd says he agreed to fight wladimir for 3.5 mil and king then took the offer off of the table. then publically claimed that byrd refused the offer.
they have some bad blood brewing.
