He's only slightly below average on punches landed per round. It just look like he's not hitting them enough because he way below on punches thrown per round compared to the average welterweight. Put those two together and you have the most accurate puncher in compubox (maybe even boxing) history.

maybe you need to rewatch the fight. floyd was hitting mosley so hard it looked like his head was going to pop of his neck.

I think we can all agree that he's a decent puncher. Not a big one, but a decent one. His power is respectable, especially because of his accuracy.

But what I dont get is how he's able to land so many clean shots on his opponents and their faces look exactly the same at the end of the fight...I mean I've seen feather fisted fighters do more damages to a fighter's face than he does. Why is that?
