As someone posted earlier...if you're parents are both Mexican (both being born in Mexico) and you are born in the US you're citizenship/nationality is American but culturally you are Mexican. The majority of us...we talk, eat and **** Mexican.
I never deny my nationality...I'm an American! even though some people might doubt it...but one look and you know I'm Mexican (or Latino) descent. I can't even deny that but why would I? I'm proud of my culture!!
Always be proud of your culture. Never forget your roots but be thankful to be American. And just in case some of you can't stand being American...then go back.
And please spare me the history lesson. Lo que paso paso. Let it go and move on.

I think he may suffer from not being "accepted" enuff by the Mexican community, just like his great mentor. But he is a Mexican-American or a Mexican from USA. He can never just be classified as Mexican.
