First of a;ll you must get your facts STRAIGHT. Haye has been down and OUT. Klitschko has been down but NEVER OUT. And in his 2 famous defeats there were circumstances beyond his control and nothing to do with the actual fights. I have dealt with these in great detail the past and don't need to do it yet again. I realise it's a pure waste of time, considering who i am tying to educate.
A little example. Klitschko's famous 3 KD against Sam Peter were, each and every one a fake. The Commentators and analysts remarked on them. Rabbit punch........ missed left hook and rt hand shoulder grab and push down........... Tripped back against ropes and bounced to the canvas and got up immediately. The ref, Randy Neuman was blind, but klitschko won every other rd. on all cards, a complete boxing lesson. He mentioned the pseudo KD's obliquely in his after fight interview.
uhhhhh, the name Lamaont Brewster and corrie sanders ring a bell?
Pound for pound I would say they have damn near the same chin, Klitschko just has a lot more pounds and all the experience of absorbing Heavyweight shots.
The big area Wlad has an advantage that nobody wants to talk about is in balance. Wlad is always on the balls of his feet, ready to move, ready to throw, ready to defend.
Haye on the other hand, fights very flatfooted, falls in with his punches and crosses his feet like an amateur when he moves laterally.
Haye is going to give Wlad way more punching opportunities than any opponent he has had since Ray Mercer. I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if an off balance Haye were put down on his ass by a jab early in the fight causing him to lose his mental focus and fall apart.
Wlads chin is better then Haye's but I feel that Haye recovers faster. I doubt he would be able to recover if he was hit clean on the chin by a right hand by Wlad though, but we'll see. Hopefully he won't be hit by one of those.
its not iron but its not glass by any means, he was knocked out by two punchers and the other stoppage was all fatigue. but i will say this, if he wasnt so much bigger than most his oponents he might have some serious problems with his chin.
haye having a weak chin is also excagerated although not as much, he was dropped very early in his career by mock. the thompson loss was due to fatigue and mormeck is a ****er. at HW you have to say his chin is less than average though even if hes yet to be seriously hurt, hes been dropped by CWs and now hes fighting guys who are much bigger.
Wlad's chin is made of cornflakes for crying out loud. All that bulk and muscled neck and he's been down THAT many times to nobody's, severely shocking.
David has a crap chin too, but has never looked as LOST as Wlad does when he's tagged hard.
All this talk of Wlad hasn't been hurt badly since 2004 or Sam Peter more recently needs to asses how many fighters he's faced that has Haye's attributes. He hasn't been tested for a while because nobody has been able to get real shots off due to being less mobile and less conditioned.
I don't think many lucid thinking people would disagree that David Haye could knock out Wlad cold in this fight.
Haye hasn't looked that lost when he's been hurt or down, but neither has he been punched be a heavyweight with good power who weighs in at 250lb's on fight night.
Haye was down and out vs Thompson? dude got put down and got up and got smashed around and was out on his feet.. the towel got thrown in. He was never down and out in the professional ranks.. his corner threw the towel in
Who has the stronger chin? who knows.. i don't think either has a good enough chin to be able to eat much of the others best shots
I was going to post something similar. Haye has never heard a ten count. Neither has Wlad. Not sure who takes the better shot at this point and not sure we'll find out as much as we find out who gets tagged hard first. That said, Haye has suffered two drops in the last five years (one official) and both had a lot to do with slipping on ring paint before getting caught.
