Gamboa has only twenty professional fights. He handled Orlando Salido quite convincingly, and tore through Jorge Solis. Granted, Solis isn't some world-beater, but he was a solid opponent who had only two prior losses (one to Manny Pacquiao).
It's not Yuri's fault that a fight with JuanMa hasn't happened. That story has been well-documented on these forums. John is with rival "Golden Boy," so that fight has been elusive. (Although, with recent events, that might change.) Mikey Garcia is good, but still young. In my opinion, it would be unwise to put such a promising young fighter against a monster like Gamboa. Caballero? Meh....
Yuriorkis Gamboa will face anyone they put in front of him. With the exception one or two featherweights, he has everyone for lunch....Comment
