Williams is gonna get flattened against anybody who has got pop to go along with skills. And the fact he is talking this kind of stuff about retirement has me even more convinced. It's a shame because he has given it his all. I think Lara is a guy Williams would've been guaranteed to beat during the time period he was on a roll. But now he is on a downward spiral I wouldn't view this fight as an upset if Lara won. At least not that much anyway.

Well said Burner, Paul always gives the fans a great show I hope he doesn't pack it in anytime soon.

Before he retires, for the love of god, fight Martinez one last time and seal that rivalry in history with a best of 3.
I like Paul Williams but technically Martinez won both fights but Paul got the nod on the first one, which could have went to Sergio. After watching the 2nd fight, I have to say that Martinez looks to have Paul's number big time. Think the 2nd fight messed him up. Just imagine what a 3rd would do? Martinez looks to be improving each time out. Have to see Paul's fight with Lara but going into a 3rd fight. I would favor Sergio Martinez by KO again.

I scored the fight right before the the rematch and I had it as a draw. Really it was a close fight and could have gone either way. Both fights were highly entertaining and a third one would only benefit boxing. I agree though after Lara it should be decided. Honestly as a fan I would root for Paul but as a critic I would have Martinez as the favorite. Then again I said that Ishida would get koed in the first round by Kirkland, I was completely wrong. Isn't that why we all love boxing?

He sounds like he's finished. Sergio appears to have taken his spirit away with that KO punch.

Williams hasn't done enough to have a legacy
he is known for his win over Tony and KO loss to Martinez
he can win another belt maybe, but he'll retire as an ordinary fighter

Another fighter maynever ducked that was not from top rank is Sergio maravilla Martinez. Maynever is lining up golden boy promotions lightweight's and Jr.welterweight's one after another, next up for may-never is khan the bum because he's with golden girl promo, or if it just wants to sit it out another whole year and make underseving unrealistic millions off the Mexicans he'll fight Saul Alvarez for 40mil. That's if Alvarez does not improve that much in the next year and may-coward is not scared of fighting at 154. I heard that maynever is going to Britain to promote the Ortiz fight guess he wants to kiss some British ass also. I URGE ALL BOXING FANS TO BOYCOTT THE MAYNEVER FIGHT THIS SEPTEMBER. We need to get rid of may-coward and kick him out of boxing (a man's sport not fro cowards like him). We need to teach may-coward that there has only been two fighters that we been wanting to see him fight Pacman fro the last 3 year, and marvelous Martinez for the last 1 1/2. But I guess Martinez calling him out 100 times a day is not going to get him anywhere and maynever already used that coward excuse of cleaning boxing when pac knocked down his door. I guess he can't blame Marvailla for being on Roids too or else he'll look like the biggest coward that has ever step foot in the boxing ring. Plus he ducked Pwill so you know he's going to duck the guy that knocked him out. Anymore up and coming Mexicans or British lightweights or jr. welterweights out there maynever is chopping at the bit to get at you guys.

Oh, get over the KO loss.

That's boxing. No one is immune to getting KTFO if you leave your chin out there in the wind.

Fight tall and smart like you did against Wright and you'll beat Martinez in a 3rd fight.

What a ****** thing to let hang over your head when that KO was a result of pure recklessness more so than the other man's power.
