What I don't get is why does throw so many damn jabs that aren't even close to landing. Not only are they inaccurate but there about 6 inches from the target. I've never seen that at the pro level.

It's time for a new trainer IMO. Although he doesn't seem to listen anyway, something has to change.

Maybe it's time for Alexander to get a new trainer. Cunningham has done a good job getting him this far, but I think he needs someone else to take him to the elite level. Someone like Manny Steward would be good for him. He'd teach him how to put together his punches alot better especially his jab. He loves throwing that jab but never lands it. Alexander is still young and has all the tools to become an elite fighter.
To tell you the truth, I like Malignaggis trainer.... He had Paulie sittin on his punches and committing to them, but still has him moving.....

I think he is an under rated trainer....

maybe he just thinks his arms are longer than they actually are.

He fights in amateur style. He just wants to land, score, and get out quick. I think he uses his jab as a distraction and range finder more than anything. He has such quick hands and is constantly just poking his jab out. It works with the judges though, at the end of a round he usually hasn't gotten hit too much, has landed a good % of "power punches" and has been more active. It obviously is a winning formula to a ringside judge who can't always be sure if those jabs are landing.

It is a great amateur style, but makes a boring pro fighter. It also can easily be beaten by a real good counter puncher or physical pressure fighter.

Because he has alot of other flaws besides the accuracy.

Another exmple, He doesn't punch "through", he punches "at". Another BIG flaw.

If you hand power or Heavy hands you'd be able to hurt people with arm punches......

                His are well below average....
