My 5 minutes with Wlad and David

I was at the first UK press conference in when these two were scheduled to fight each other in June 2009.

During the pre-conference interviews, I had managed to negotiate some time with each fighter to make a promo for the network I was working for at the time.

The idea was that I would film each fighter seperately saying some lines infront of a portable blue screen, then make the promo later.

Wlad was up first. But before I had my alloted 15 minutes with him, he had an interview with one of Britain's main boxing analysts. So, I thought it might be a good opportunity to get a few extra shots of the big fella.

I hung around the interview set like a bad smell. Apparently Wlad was running a bit late. I sat down on one of the chairs surrounding the interview area. Suddenly, Wlad was entered the room, He made his way towards me. He had come in earlier than expected and I was caught off guard trying to scramble together the camera and get some shots of him entering the room and meeting the media personalities present. I wondered why I couldn't see him in my view finder. Very calmy, Dr Wladimir Klitschko pointed at me and said (quite loundly) "your lens cap is on". Funny moment and I felt like a ****. Later, I had 5 minutes with Wlad. I got him to say some lines and we had a bit of a laugh about the lens cap. He was cool, a bit stand offish - but I think he just didn't like the British press at that time because they gave him quite a hard time.

After that, I had 5 minutes with David Haye. He was pretty cool. Easy to talk to and genuinely funny. At one point I was in the room alone with him and there was this awkward silence. There was a pool table in the room and I asked him if he wanted a game, but he politely declined.

Both guys are natural performers and you can tell they love the camera. Its a clash of egos as much of fists, which is what makes this extra special.

I've been looking forward to this fight ever since that press conference in 2009. Ithought it might never happen, but finally, it appears as though it will. Please check out the video I made for this fight. Its on YTube, Its called 'Klitschko Haye Rap Battle'.

Hopefully the fight lives up to all the hype!

Wlad is just intimidating Haye by "slow death" in the ring.

"It is not the intenseness of the pain that has the greatest effect on the mind, but its continuance; for our sensibility is more easily and more powerfully affected by weak but repeated impressions, than by a violent but momentary impulse." ("ON CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS" By CESARE BECCARIA)

In case of Haye it's mean that he will be continiously punished during all 12 rounds, when Haye's face slowly but surely will be turning into pizza so in the endspiel of the fight he will beg for mercy in the form of knockout.

And he considers this ok? Well he (and his fans) should stop worrying where at the boring comments come from, he has just basically admitted he uses the most boring style you could ever wish for.
Don't be so dumb. He is just using Haye's taunts against Klitschko to jeer at him. No fighter tips off his opponent what he's going to do, and nobody really knows what Klitschko will do. he could just as easily go for a 1st rd KO.

but, AND I DO MEAN BUT, the sister is the chinny one here as proven on a number of occasions and in particular his one sided battering at the quick hands of corrie sanders. yknow, it still makes me chuckle when watchin it.
yes, he has been able to climb off the floor against the likes of samuel peter but, peter will never be as quick or powerful than haye in a million years.
david haye is very fast and only the sister will know how hard he punches.
he will be learned by the better, more exciting, charismatic, less robotic, less boring fighte who is david haye.
the sister is even more boring than that lumbering ****.....what was his name.....primo carnera! he even looks like the ****.
the sooner these sisters go away the better.
they have always been boring and the only fight between either of them and a genuinely world class athlete who is lennox lewis and guess what>
the better of the two was stopped.
they are **** and i challenge anybody to argue with the facts here stated.
I'm glad you said "anyone", for in truth ANYONE COULD dispute what you say with perfect confidence and success. No point in going further, you just don't know what you're talking about.

And what's all this ""sister" and "sisters" stuff about. What do you mean, are you a religious nut talking about your favourite monastic Order or what???

Don't answer that, it wasrhetorical and i really don't want to know.

It's very rare that Wlad goes for a KO unless he has worn down his opponent first, at least in recent times. His record proves it.

I also think that Klitschko will beat Haye very confortably, just as you say, but i don't know what tactics he'll use and any guessing for this particular fight are only that...guesses.
