Why cant Matthysse be a beast that "The Great" slayed
Sport fans and writers are spoiled by the few athletes that outclass thier peers by a margin so wide that contest are one sided white washes. If you give Matthysse his just due for being a monster in the ring, then Devon is indeed GREAT. If not, why did not get knocked out? Why where the compubox numbers so close? Devon and Team alexander refused to fight 2 bums in a row after his loss like most guys do. It was GREAT of him to be back in there with such a threat. He showed GREAT heart when it got tough. He could have won easier if he would have STRICKLY BOXED, BUT HE ****** WITH A ****ER to prove to all that he did have GREAT moxy.
As far as all this robbery talk goes.
Watch this video from the 4 minute to the 5 minute mark and tell me what figher is into robbery!

As someone else wrote...its time to say bye bye to Cunningham. As much as he's done for Devon, he's hurting him now. Steward or Roach could in the least give him more than one game plan if something isn't going well. This fight makes the Khan Judah fight a bit more interesting.

Good post big Lou, I think the robbery talk stems from bias against Devon, the fact we believe he already got a gift against kotelnik, and that most believe Lucas was already robbed against Judah, watch the fight again forget about hatred towards Devon, forget about where the fight is, forget about past robberies. devon won and the fight sways on the first round, depending on how you scored it. All other rounds were pretty decisive, big momentum swings from round to round, those rounds stick out in judges minds

Devon gets credit for stepping up competition-wise in his last four fights - but honestly has yet to impress in any of them. He fought on relatively even terms with Urango, but it was the shocking KO ending that had everyone talking. He's honestly looked extremely ordinary ever since then.
Tim Bradley never really blows you away from an entertainment standpoint, but there's enough talent there to indicate that he is truly among the best in his division, and perhaps in the sport. Devon has shown signs of potential, but has yet to translate it into actual greatness.
I thought this fight could've went either way. I thought the 96-93 scores both ways were off, and could've lived with 95-94 for either guy. Not a robbery in my eyes, but I also didn't see anything that suggests Devon has progressed very much from even the Junior Witter fight.

I bet you didn't do that, I bet you just watched the fight and when it was over you screamed robbery.
