This fight was harder to score than the Kotelnik fight. Kotelnik deserved the decision more than Matthysse did.
The thing with the fight last night, Alexander did pretty well in the early rounds where it could be argued he took the first three. Then you give him round nine...and wait I still have him losing.
Alexander fights are hard to score in general because he fights in such an awkward style. It's not hard to figure out, but it takes a while to land clean. The only person who took the beginning rounds clearly was Bradley.
Matthysse won. Me and my friend were there live and we had to secretly root for Matthysse the whole time because his Devon's hometown crowd in our area started to get a little bit hostile when they noticed Devon was getting beat. We knew what was going to happen before they even announced the scorecards, and actually I was surprised that one judge gave it to Matthysse. I thought they all would have given the hometown fighter the nod on their cards.

Were people booing at the fact that Devon won or because it was a SD and they felt Devon clearly won?..I heard some boo's after the winner was announced..
Make damn sure next time to finish the guy off. Knock him down multiple times in different rounds. This fight reminds me of Marquez vs Pacquiao. Pacquiao knocked down Marquez 3 times in the 1st round scorecard should be 10-7 for Pacman. 10-7 means Pacman won 3 rounds already and don't tell me he lost every damn round after the 1st round to end up in a draw. Whatever, Matthysse will comeback stronger next time. He ain't a bad boxer to watch at all. Hope HBO picks him back again.
