At the Lanxess-Arena in Cologne, Germany, undefeated heavyweight contender Manuel Charr (18-0, 10 KOs), now promoted by middleweight champion Felix Sturm, stopped British heavyweight veteran Danny Williams (43-10, 33 KOs) in the seventh round. Williams was hurt a few times in the contest. Charr punished him with hard blows in the seventh to secure the technical knockout. Charr with his second win of the year, Williams loses his fourth of his last seven. He won his last two after suffering the knockout loss to Dereck Chisora, but the streak was short lived.

I just watched Charr-Williams and it was a TERRIBLE STOPPAGE.

Williams had just thrown about 15 punches, then Charr threw about three, and the ref stopped the fight!
